Join us for a special, informal Pop-Up Presentation where we’ll share the heart and history of the Alliston & District Humane Society (ADHS) and the work we do in our community.

  • The Origin & Evolution of ADHS
  • Our Unique Mission and Focus
  • Animal programs: from dogs, cats, and small animals to local wildlife care
  • Humane Education & Community Services
  • Post-Pandemic & Future Challenges
  • How you can help

The Alliston & District Humane Society has been in operation since 1988 and is a volunteer organization with paid medical support.

The Alliston & District Humane Society opened its first permanent shelter and adoption centre on December 23, 2010. ADHS serves the townships of New Tecumseth, Mulmur and the villages of Cookstown, Rosemont, Hockley and the Town of Schomberg.

ADHS runs a dog program, a cat program and a small animal program at our shelter.  As well, ADHS provides a Lost & Found reporting service, humane education programs and wildlife services to our communities.
