Casino Rama Bus Trip

You asked, so we’re doing it again!

Wednesday, April 29th,  2026  –  Bus leaves BHCC at 9:00 am

Leaves Rama at 3:00 pm (back at BHCC around 4:15 pm)

Cost is $15.00 per person (includes transportation, $10.00 voucher for casino play, light snack and beverage on the return trip, and driver’s tip).

Please visit the BHCC office during regular business hours to register and pay prior to April 21st (please bring correct cash)

Note: In order to board the bus, you must have government issued picture I.D. or a Players Card with you.

If you do not already have a Casino Rama players card, you must register for one upon arrival at the Casino and MUST use it for all play while gambling.

Important Info: Due to increasing fuel costs, the bus company is now charging a fee, resulting in a $5.00 increase in price. The casino is offsetting this by providing an additional $5.00 in free play.

If you paid for the February trip and wish to attend in April, you must still register but do not need to pay again. The office has a list of those who previously paid.

Spring Fashion Show!

Tickets for this very popular event sold out in an hour and half on the first ticket selling date. Of course, the planned future ticket selling dates are now cancelled. If you are lucky and got a ticket and for some reason cannot attend, please post on the Briar Hill and Green Briar Facebook page.

In anticipation of this highly attended event, we are putting a call out to our residents to ask the following:

• Any females wishing to model the clothing for the event (and attend a “try on” date about the week before at the store) please send your intent of interest via email to bhcc@rogers.com with the subject Fashion Show. We need approximately 10 in total. No experience required – it is a fun event.
• Any males owning their own tuxedo or formal wear, who might wish to escort our ladies on our runway. We need 3 or 4. Please indicate your interest by emailing the centre at bhcc@rogers.com. Males will only be required the day of the event.

Let’s make this a spectacular sold out event again. Save the date and stay tuned for more exciting details.

Secure your spot at our upcoming Yard Sale on one of the following dates:

• Tuesday, May 12 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Briar Hill residents only)
• Thursday, May 14 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Briar Hill residents only)
• Wednesday, May 20 from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM (Briar Hill & Green Briar residents)

Tables remain at $20 each (cash or cheque payable to BHCC).

30+ Vendors, BARGAINS GALORE!

As in the past, we will have spaces to rent for those owners wishing to display and sell their own Good/Used Items or Crafts.

What if you don’t want to have a table yourself? Not to worry – there will be a Donations Sale table(s) for those items you wish to donate. Proceeds from the Donations Table will go directly to the Operating Fund of our Community Centre.  Donations can be dropped off on Friday, June 26 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the East Room.

So start your Spring Cleaning and set aside items that are still in good working condition. (No clothing accepted.)

if you have Hallowe’en decorations, the BHCC Social Committee will like them for their upcoming dance. You can drop them off at the East Room at the same time.
